Membership
What you can expect with your Membership
- We meet once a month on the 2nd Friday of the month (apart from May which is the third). Held at the Burton Pavilion in Milford.
- As membership grows out intention is to have 6 wines to try with different price points enabling us all to make comparisons.
- Members should bring the following:
- 1 – 2 glasses to taste wine. It is good to have at least two glasses so you can compare wines as you go along
- A water glass
- Members to bring take out snacks
- A pen
- Tasting notes and a suggested way to taste is provided.
- Membership costs go towards:
- Hall hire £35 per month
- Wine Budget initially £60 per month
- Cost is £10 per person per month. Ad hoc until May at which point we will ask attendees to become members and commit to June – December fees. This will enable us to increase the wine budget for each meeting.
- Car sharing encouraged – Those designated drivers will be provided with takeaway samples.
- Schedule of talks/themes 6 – 12 months ahead.
- We might look at local vineyard visits and getting local experts in to talk to us.
We are a not for profit organisation and any surplus funds will be reinvested in the club and wine budget
